I realize you guys probably heard of this before, but just wanted to give you my impressions. I very hesitantly bought this mouse about a week ago for all it's programmable buttons. I get tired of hen pecking the keyboard. I also bought the Glide 9 aluminum mouse mat, and the combo has proved to be flawless for Lightwave. it has helped my workflow considerably. The laser tracking on the Glide 9 is absolute perfection! I really can't imagine being without it. It is fully customizable to your hand, and has proved to be the most comfortable mouse I have ever used! If your looking for a great tracking, button packed, comfortable, fully customizable mouse, and mat combo, this is it. Between the Mat, and Mouse, I spent $173.00. It was worth every penny! At first because of it's unique design, I though I mad a terrible mistake, but luckily it proved out great!
I swear, it was never this bad back around version 9. I'm trying to animate a character, and have the audio in the background for reference... but it's just jibberish. I can't work out what is being said (while scrubbing) in any way. It is very very frustrating.
I have previously used Walens soundwave plugin as a replacement, and that did a great job of audio scrubbing... perfect in fact and is exactly how it should be in Lightwave natively. However, for what ever reason, I can no longer get this plugin installed on any version of Lightwave 11 because of a dll that refuses to be seen. Also, that plugin is no longer updated so far as I can tell. But if you wanted a reference as to how LWs audio scrub should work Newtek, please look no further!
EDIT!: In my idiocy, I hadn't put the soundwave dll in the programs folder :/ I have got it working now!!! But my rant on native audio scrubbing still stands. I'm just very relieved to have a solution in the mean time :D
So dev guys, can we please please pleeeease get decent audio scrubbing working? Right now, every frame I move my timeline, the audio plays a repeat of the audio at that point 3-4 times in a row making it impossible to understand. This is ruining my work flow!
I'm trying to animate the actions of a character to what he is saying, and I can't understand a word he says. Yes, i could make a dope sheet, but that isn't how I work... it almost seems backwards in this day and age.
I've created a simple flag in modeler (basic geometry) but when I send to Layout to add cloth effect, Layout crashes every time, using Imac with Mountain Lion OS...this didn't happen with 11.0

hmm difficult to say personally I would render out two images comp them together and mask the crack "ON" in something like After effects, you might be able to do it with Bullet and a mixture of morphs direct in layout...another might be just to texture an animated map ofthe crack overlaying ...
it really depends on how the scene is setup , i...
